On a budget? That's okay! At home dates can be fun too:
1. Game Night: Always start with board games and throw in a bottle of your favorite tequila or non-alcoholic drink for extra funsies.
2. Cooking Together: Make pizzas from scratch, a meal you use to LOVE as a kid or something special like that expensive steak you've been eyeing at Tacoma Boys
3. Ice Cream Sundae Builder: Create custom sundaes together. This one is always a win for those with a sweet tooth! You can set up a little buffet of topping options and light candles! Take pictures and make it fun!
4. Movie Night: Rent movies online or save one you've been wanting to watch but waiting for your partner to watch alongside you! Popcorn, snacks, dim lighting all add a little something special.
5. DIY Projects: Paint and sip, art night with a theme (like star wars), DIY spa night, a photoshoot (I did this when I was pregnant because I was too tired to plan a real photography session and they came out GREAT!)
6. Bucket List Making: Write down dreams and plans for the future. Simply write out lists or get creative and use magazine cutouts, photos and other things that inspire you!
7. Yoga Together / Stretching: Find a session on YouTube and yoga or stretch together.
8. Wine, Whiskey, or Tequila Tasting: Set up a mini wine-tasting at home.
9. Letters to Each Other: Write heartfelt letters and read them aloud or switch and let your partner read it to themselves!
Outings locally:
1.Tacoma Comedy Club: Catch a live show, often with free tickets.
2. Concerts: Attend local music events.
3. Dining Out: You've Got A Ton Of Options! Here's what the local consensus is on the best spots:
- The Berliner (kid-friendly for family dinner nights out too, German beer and food)
- Cuerno Bravo Prime Steakhouse (try the Japanese A5 wagyu)
- Wooden City (romantic)
- Ruston Way waterfront restaurants for scenic views.
4. Outdoor Fun: Go to Ruston Way for dinner, ice cream at Ice Cream Social after, and a walk.
5. Mini Golf or Go-Karts: Fun and light-hearted competition.
6. Axe Throwing: Try Bullseye Lane for a unique experience.
7. Escape Rooms: Challenge yourselves with a fun escape game. (The one linked doubles as axe throwing as well and downstairs has even more activities that are similar!)

9. Walks: Explore local trails or beaches, searching for interesting objects. Point Defiance like Owen Beach is nice.
10. Coffee and Stroll: Grab coffee and go for a casual walk. We recommend Anthem Coffee, Campfire Coffee, Red Elm, or Jade Lounge

1. LEGO Date: Someone in a Facebook group commented that her and her partner build small kits at a bar while enjoying drinks. The kits are like $20/each at the store.
2. Glass Blowing Classes: Create something beautiful together.
3. Bingo Night: Try local bingo events for a casual outing.
4. Hot Tub Rental: Have a fun and private experience at a hot tub place like Elliott Bay (ok, this one is in Federal Way but it's close by depending on where in Tacoma-Pierce County you are!)
5. Outdoor Adventures: Parasailing or kayaking (Owen beach has kayak and paddle board rentals) in the summer time.
Creative Activities
1. Sip and Paint: Join a local paint and sip event. I'll add these to our events calendar as I see them come in!
2. Screenprint and Paint: Shirt the City offers these from time-to-time so DM and ask when you can have your next event!
3. Cooking Classes: Learn new recipes and cooking techniques together. Metro Parks often has these at affordable costs if not free.
4. Karaoke: Find a fun bar with karaoke nights. Hilltop A Go Go has karaoke weekly.
5. Attend Events: Look for local festivals, markets, or live music events on our calendar!
